First World War Project – 1915

This track is part of an on-going project about the First World War and is based on the poem 1915 by Robert Graves.
I imagined a soldier stuck on barbed wire in no mans land and as his life drains away he thinks of home, places and his loved one. Everything finally fades as he dies on the battlefield, leaving only the sound of gunfire.
The images are of First World War Battlefields and the Wedding Photograph is of an unknown couple married in 1915.The song is Keep the Homefires Burning, originally written in 1915.
